Why I’m starting a Roofing website
A small beginning, and a question I want to answer through real work.
I’ve been thinking about building websites for a while. I enjoy the craft, but a nice-looking page by itself doesn’t tell me whether I can make something useful for a real business.
So today I’m starting with Roofing. I’m choosing one kind of business and building a website around the things its customers need to understand: what the company does, where it works, and how to get in touch.
I studied computer science and work on search and advertising systems. That experience gives me a way to think about websites, but it doesn’t answer the question I care about: can I turn that into clear, useful work for a Roofing business?
I don’t know yet. I’m starting this site to test that honestly. I’ll build, look closely at what works and what doesn’t, and share the parts that are worth sharing. For now, this is just the first step.
